We are celebrating homecoming at Cardinal this week. Today was Smurf Day. We had a lot of Smurfs running around the school. Duct Tape Day is tomorrow. We think that should be really interesting. In math we made a pictograph of our favorite days of the week. It is called a pictograph because we use pictures to make a graph. When we read Flat Stanley, we noticed that his brother Arthur was starting to become very jealous of him. Stanley was getting a lot of attention for being flat. In music we danced to lots of fun songs!

Tomorrow, Mrs. Ferrell is sending home a note that will tell us all about the fun activities that will be going on next week. We did Rocket Math again today. Mrs. Ferrell is impressed with how much we have improved in just a few short days. We introduced a new task from the Daily 5. It is called Word Work. We only have one more task to learn! Mrs. Ferrell told us that tomorrow is the first day of fall. We noticed that the days are getting shorter, and the temperature is getting cooler. We learned that the Earth is spinning around the sun. Today was the second day of Rocket Math. We are getting lots of practice with addition facts. The cooks planned a very nice meal today. It was spaghetti. It tasted so yummy!
